BAM! score

How the score is calculated!

The score compares club members within the same distance and category.

The formula

For each race, runners are grouped by distance and gender. Within that group, the score is based on the runner's position compared to the number of participating club members.

score = 100 - (position + 1) × 100 participants + 1 + distance bonus
The score is rounded to whole points, except when the calculation naturally results in fractions such as halves or quarters.
Formula:
100 - (p + 1) × 100 n + 1 + d
p
position
n
number of participants
d
distance bonus
The score is rounded to whole points, except when the calculation naturally results in fractions such as halves or quarters.

A better race position gives a higher score. The distance bonus rewards longer distances.

When a runner does not finish, the result stays visible, but the score for that race is zero.
